  GIRLS' CENTER

Positions available. Click here for more details.

A recent study found that girls abuse drugs and alcohol just as much if not more than boys.

We are excited to announce the opening of a female center at our campus in Athens, WV. The construction is underway and our doors will be opening soon. Numerous calls have been coming in from hurting girls and we are anxious to bring them here to offer them the hope and peace they need to live a productive life. Years of research at the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University discovered that:
  • Girls are more likely than boys to use addictive substances to control their weight, alter their mood, increase confidence, relieve stress or boredom, self-medicate depression, or reduce their inhibitions.
  • Women and young girls become addicted to drugs faster and suffer the consequences sooner than men and young boys.
